I was born in Coeur d Alene, Idaho and grew up in Saint Maries, Idaho. After high school graduation, I started with the Idaho Department of Lands working on the wildland firefighting crew. Four Seasons with IDL taught me about fire behavior along with the ability to access properties for fire danger.
After attending North Idaho College for 2 years, I then finished my bachelor's degree in Geological Sciences at the University of Idaho. Upon graduation, I started working as a geologist in western Montana. Due to metal prices dropping too low in value, the mine I worked at was forced to close. The change in metal prices made geology work scarce and competitive.
At this point in time, I started logging for my dad. This made me a 4th generation logger. We primarily targeted smaller private parcels where forest health and curb appeal were the primary goals. My 10 years' experience working in the woods has made me very comfortable working with trees and running equipment. In the spring of 2025, Andys Arbor came up for sale and I was excited to fill that niche in the area doing tree work for our community and the Surrounding areas.
